These people are nations. I imagine them able to handle emotional trauma and whatnot a lot, and I mean a LOT better than a normal human being.

This bothered me so much back when I was still involved in the fandom. People fled to extremes, and then people fled to OTHER extremes as a way to counter the previous extremes (Ex: when people would say it’s not canon viable to ship Matt with anyone because no one can see/remember him). It was just so stupid.
